7:00 PM Skywatch at Bedford High School – Astronomy class Night Observation Monday, March 8th, 7:30 – 9:00 Cloud/Rain/Snow Date:Wed, March 10th, 7:30 – 9:00 Joppa Hill Farm, 174 Joppa Hill Road, Bedford NH, Near soccer fields, behind silo (parking lot is on west side of road) Expected Turnout: 15, 11th & 12th grade.

3:00 PM Messier Marathon, to be held the evening of March 12 through to the morning of the 13th, at the Lopez residence in New Boston. Backup date is March 13.

5:00 PM Coffee House Night at the Club Observatory

7:30 PM Skywatch at North Hampton School 3rd Grade. Contact person: K. Lee Mock. 60 students are in the grade (approx 50-60 will attend), plus parents and 6 staff. Planets, moons, constellations will be featured. Presentation topics: major constellations, how to tell the difference between a star and a planet, how do the Earth’s hemispheres determine what we see?

First Quarter 7:00 A.M.

5:00 PM Skywatch at Langdon Library, Newington, nh. (This is a Library Telescope Site!) Starts at 5 p.m. with a look at sunspots and solar prominences using special purpose solar telescopes, followed by a short astronomy presentation from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and a public skywatch from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
